Bullying is a problem that affects not only the pupils involved but also the school community at large, making it one of the most significant adversities that pupils face during their school life. This chapter reviews what we know about bullying and identifies the groups of students who might be particularly vulnerable. Moreover, based on the bio-ecological model proposed by Bronfenbrenner, the chapter analyses the main risk and protective factors associated with this phenomenon, and reviews different evidence-informed interventions that can support school communities. This chapter argues that the prevention of bullying requires involvement from everyone in the school community – not just those pupils immediately affected or their teachers.en
