Abstract:
Since the original adoption, many cultural, political and educational changes have taken place globally. Several countries are developing an awareness of the need to provide services to persons with disabilities. Others are finding it necessary to expand their education programs to meet the needs of an expanding client base. It was necessary to review the educational guidelines for their current appropriateness. Members of the Logopedics Education Committee met at the 2007 IALP Congress in Copenhagen, Denmark, and again in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 2009 and agreed to contribute to the review of the education guidelines and revise as necessary. The following is the revised version.
