Abstract:
The objectives of this thesis are (i) to study the financial integration between emerging markets and the world market, (ii) to investigate the determinants of the extent of market comovement, with special attention paid to cultural factors, and (iii) to estimate the impact of financial integration on capital structure decisions in emerging economies.
