dc.description | A cloister base from the Franciscan Friary at Roscrea, Co. Tipperary. The cloister appears to have been of the integrated type as some bases show evidence that large buttresses were included in the design. The bases are of an unusual polygonal plan. The cloister is known to have been built in 1523 by Maolruony O'Carroll. | en |
