Abstract
Flows having tangential or swirling velocity component can be challenging to model. Yet accurate prediction of their behaviour is required in industry, where they often find use for their enhancing mixing and heat transfer properties. This work investigates the capability of two turbulence models to calculate the thermal field of moderately high swirling developing pipe flows.
