Abstract:
Over the past decade a great body of research has been devoted to the field of organic spintronics. This is primarily because of its potential to open new ways to cheap, low' weight, mechanically flexible, chemically inert and bottom up fabricated spin-devices for high density data storage and logic applications. The main advantage of using organic semiconductors (OSCs) for spintronics applications is that the device structure can be conveniently designed based on the experiences from an industrially well established field, namely that of organic electronics.
