Abstract:
This thesis is concerned with the identification of novel antiproliferative agents for the treatment of Burkitt's lymphoma (BL), an aggressive B-cell malignancy. Numerous SERT and NET ligand such as SSRIs and TCAs, having been shown to induce cell death in BL cell lines. By exploiting the pro-apoptotic capabilities of these monoamine transporter targeting compounds, potential drug candidates for the treatment of BL could be identified. This thesis examines this subject over four chapters.
