    Description

    This painting is signed and dated by the artist. Rose Barton is quoted in regards to this watercolor, as saying: "...on one still November afternoon, when I went out for a stroll at dusk along the Chelsea Embankment... as I walked along I meditated on how truly Whistler had interpreted the scene." (Sotheby's, 84)
