Magistrates' law and suggested increase of jurisdiction and powers

Abstract

Having had some years experience in the workings of these courts [Magistrates courts] and of observing where and by what methods they might be made more useful to the suitors and to the public generally, I purpose to set out these in this paper in as plain and concise a manner as may be possible, consistent with dealing with so extended and difficult a subject.
