    Description

    Gree was intended for the church but abandoned the orders for painting, studying under Martin Joseph Geeraerts. He was well known for his grisaille imitations of relief sculpture. The present image is of the decorative murals at 52 St. Stephen's Green, executed by Gree for David La Touche. The project was Gree's first in Ireland.
