Abstract
Road traffic collisions impose a major burden on society, thus there is a real incentive for inter-sectoral collaboration when decisions and policies are being formulated. This research is set in the context of the latest 5-year road safety strategy (2007 - 2011) which was developed to help reduce road fatalities and serious injuries in Ireland.
