Teaching Note: Transforming Ireland’s Public Service Media: Dawning of a Turnaround Journey for RTÉ

Abstract

RTÉ had to reconsider its strategic direction in response to the emergence and growth of new technologies and the change in consumer behaviour to ensure its survival in the future. Consequently, RTÉ began to look internally for new opportunities and a rigorous examination of their strengths and weaknesses allowed them to generate possible options towards a more sustainable future.
