    Abstract

    Description

    Limerick born, Norman Garstin trained at the Academie Royale in Antwerp and then in the atelier of Carolus-Duran in Paris in the early 1880s. He travelled throughout Europe but seems to have enjoyed Brittany in particular. He made several trips to Tangier.
