    Abstract

    Description

    2012 saw the beginning of an exciting new partnership between the Royal Irish Academy of Music and The Lir Academy at Trinity College Dublin. Opera Briefs, a series of short opera productions at The Lir, began in December 2012 with three one-act operas, directed by Conor Hanratty: Monteverdi’s Il Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda, Menotti’s The Telephone and Barber’s A Hand of Bridge.
