    Description

    Fisher was a painter and engraver in Ireland, working after the Dutch and Italian landscape painting tradition. He is best known by engravings after his designs, of which a large number were produced during his career.[notes from 'Irish Paintings in the National Gallery of Ireland?, 2001] Carrigrohan (rock of Rohan)is the castle depicted in the present illustration.
