    Description

    Watercolour illustrating a scene from the tale "The two springs" beginning on (fol. 34v). Depicts two identically dressed men about to attack a traveller in a wooded area. A romantic tale of two feuding Yorkshire families, the Seagraves and the Mienhards set in the reign of Edward III of England.
