    Description

    'This print is a relatively faithful copy of the painting (cgjc0746), although there are minor adjustments as in the introduction of Orpheus' flame-like hair. In the painting Orpheus is over-sized, and in the print the standing figures at either side have been enlarged to correct this discrepancy in scale, but they, along with Orpheus, now dwarf the seated figures in between.'
