Abstract:
The reaction of [ppn][Ru4H(CO)12BH] with [Cu(MeCN)4][BF4] in the presence of [ppn][Cl] yields [ppn][{Ru4H(CO)12B}2-Cu4(?-Cl)][Cl], which has been structurally characterised; the introduction of silver in place of copper yields [ppn][{Ru4H(CO)12BH}2Ag] in addition to [ppn][{Ru4H(CO)12B}2Ag4(?-Cl)][Cl].
