'An engraving based on this drawing to be found as Plate 121 of Volume I of Francis Grose's "Antiquities of Ireland", but with the addition of certain figures on the left. The drawing depicts a view from the south-west of the ruins of the Franciscan friary at Multyfarnham, County Westmeath, Ireland, showing the tower dominating the crossing and the three well-preserved reticulated windows in the church. The church was re-roofed in the 1970's. The image was conserved by the Delmas Conservation Bindery, March 1999.' (www.nli.ie)Culture:
