dc.description'This drawing was never engraved but was the result of a visit to Glendalough by Angelo Bigari (fl. 1772-1779) and Gabriel Beranger (ca. 173-1817). The two artists visited the monastery on October 12th and 13th, 1779. It depicts a view of the chancel of the Augustinian Priory of St. Saviour at Glendalough, County Wicklow, Ireland. In the foreground sits an artist, sketching, who is being gestured to by a second figure who stands on the extreme left.' (www.nli.ie)en
