dc.description'This copy by J.S. Cooper (could be Jonathon Sisson Cooper (ca.1777-1850), a nephew of Austin Cooper) of an original by Gabriel Beranger, executed on a tour of Connacht in the summer of 1779. The original is not known to have survived but this copy is the sole visual evidence of Beranger's drawing. Beranger mentions also his visit to the Abbey of Ballindoon, County Sligo, Ireland, see NLI Ms. 4162, page 9.' (www.nli.ie)en
