Abstract:
This thesis addresses the design of an analogue front-end filter for portable electrocardiographic equipment. The task of the filter is to eliminate as much out-of-band noise and interference as possible before the electrocardiogram is further processed. In order to guarantee that the filter does not significantly distort the input signal, the requirements specified by international standards and recommendations for the time and frequency domain characteristics of diagnostic electrocardiographic devices are strictly enforced throughout this work.
