Abstract:
This thesis studies multiparty systems in sub-Saharan Africa in the
period 1989-2008. The characteristic of sub-Saharan Africa's party systems
that shall be examined is the manner in which electoral support and
legislative seats have been distributed among parties in national-level
multiparty elections.
