Abstract:
This thesis aims to provide a complete account of the tribe Ocimeae for Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and Burma. In addition, the relevant generic problems of Ocimeae in continental South East Asia are outlined, and the generic relationships between Asian Ocimeae and some of African and New World members are investigated using molecular approach. A taxonomic history of the tribe and history of botanical works relevant to the tribe
Ocimeae in continental South East Asia and neighbouring regions are given.
