dc.description.abstract | This thesis is primarily concerned with the trade-off between computational complexity and accuracy in digital receivers. Furthermore, because OFDM modulation is key in 4G systems, there is an interest in better demodulation schemes for the fading channel, which is the environment that all mobile receivers must confront. The demodulation challenge may then be divided into two themes, i.e. digital detection and synchronization, both of which are inference tasks. | |
