Abstract:	The material discussed in this paper forms part of a wider study entitled "Wage Bargaining and Strike Activity in Ireland: An Econometrical Study" which is currently in progress at the ESRI. Kelly for research assistance and to the Central Statistical Office for allowing access to their unpublished data on strikes.
