Abstract:
Judging by developments in other countries the
survey of changes in the supply of money is the first step in the buildingup
of financial accounts. The purpose of this paper is to suggest a
beginning in that direction. Although the wider question of the relevance
of surveys of this kind to the analysis of income formation is briefly
referred to in the closing pages, the paper is necessarily concerned
mainly with an exposition of the proposed survey of changes in monetary
supplies in conditions obtaining in this country.
