Abstract:
On the 15th March, 1911, about three weeks before the
Census day of 1911, I had the privilege and honour of reading
a paper before this Society entitled "The Development of the
Irish Census and its National Importance." On this occasion,
fifteen years later and a little over three weeks before the
Census day of 1926, viz., Sunday, the 18th April, I have again
the honour and privilege of reading the present paper. As
there are only a few here tonight who were present on that
occasion, I propose, before dealing with the first part of the
paper, to mention briefly certain of the outstanding historical
facts that I dealt with in my paper in 1911.
Description:
Read before the Society on Thursday, 25th March, 1926
