This watercolor is inscribed in ink, 'drawn by S F Brocas. Dublin 1818'. It depicts a view of the cast iron footbridge officially known as The Liffey Bridge, looking from Aston Quay across to Bachelors' Walk and down river towards Grattan Bridge and the Four Courts.
