Description: This image gives a view of Carrick Castle (or Castle Dexter), near Slane, County Meath, Ireland, showing an older-looking defensive tower with small windows on the left of the picture. To its right is a building which looks like a later extension with larger windows. This image is a drawing by Austin Cooper based on the original by Beranger. Another copy of this image, in watercolour, by Gabriel Beranger is in the Special Collection of University College, Dublin, catalogued as 'Wat.11'. ( image is signed and dated.
