dc.description.abstract | Barrett’s oesophagus (BO) develops in response to bile acid reflux and confers increased risk of progression to oesophageal adenocarcinoma (OAC). During this disease progression, the immune microenvironment of the oesophageal tissue changes. Gene expression of the immunomodulatory chemokine CCL28 has previously been shown to be increased in OAC; in this work, its role in oesophageal disease progression is examined. | |
