This collection comprises images of Irish art of the late seventeenth to the early twentieth centuries, assembled over a period of roughly forty years. The size and scope of the archive is unique, providing a fundamental resource for the study of Irish painting. The collection has recently been used as the basic research tool for a number of definitive books including Watercolours of Ireland (1994), and Ireland?s Painters 1600-1940 (2002). TRIARC would like to thank the Getty Foundation for their generous funding towards the cataloguing of this collection.
