Abstract:	This Report contains the legal framework and national practice of Ireland on consular and diplomatic protection as of 31 May 2010. Ireland has few documents on the public record relating to practice in this regard. As will be seen, most of the Irish practice is contained in information circulars which are normally distributed only to Irish consular officials abroad.
