Description:
Fisher was a painter and engraver in Ireland, working after the Dutch and Italian landscape painting tradition. He is best known by engravings after his designs, of which a large number were produced during his career. He published two series on Killarney, the first in 1770 and the second in 1789. 'Faulkners Dublin Journal' features a number of advertisements for such engravings, one of which specifies that the artist had spent the previous summer in that area (1768).
