'This print presumably reproduces the painting of Jupiter and Juno on Mount Ida that Barry exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1773. It is based on that episode in Homer's 'Iliad' when Juno seduces Jupiter in order to lull him to sleep so that she might aid the Greeks against the Trojans without her husband intervening.
